MMSWMD provides planning, technical and financial support in the area of solid waste management for the eight-county region that includes Audrain, Boone, Callaway, Cole, Cooper, Howard, Moniteau and Osage.
We have a grant program to help cities, counties and private organizations, both for-profit and nonprofit pay for equipment and supplies to initiate or expand recycling or composting operations and other waste minimization activities.
MMSWMD also provides some service directly via contracts with private companies. MMSWMD has conducted 52 one-day tire collections, 18 on-site tire cleanups, and 7 one-day HHW collection events.

This web site is funded by grants awarded to MMSWMD by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources.
